On way again from Zambaulim one can take a slight diversion at Paroda to move forward towards the Chandranath hill and climb the massive granite steps to succeed in towards the temple of Sri Chandreshwar. Though a major part from the approach road for the temple is metalled, only a small portion prior to campus is supplied with granite stone actions.
The facet altar is that of Sri Bhutnath. Chandranath formed a portion in the Bhoja funds Chandrapur. The South Goa Bhojas worshipped the deity years ahead of the Christian era till the middle in the eighth century Ad. The temple has the famous Shiva Linga, which was intended to ooze water with all the contact of moonlight.
The temple atop the hill continues to be designed in such a way, that moonlight directly falls around the Shiva Linga around the full moon night. One can have a birds' eye view of a lengthy ending green valley of Salcete and Quepem Taluka from your Chandranath hill.
